Can Sam's Local Plumbers tell me exactly how much this plumbing job will cost me?

We have found that our customers prefer an accurate price based on their exact plumbing problem. Most phone quotes are subject to change once the service technician sees the job, but we don't think that is fair to you. By allowing us to diagnose your plumbing problem in person, you will know exactly what it will take to get the job done.

Are Sam's Local Plumbers licensed?

Our plumbers are qualified, fully licensed professionals. You can rest assured that your plumbing job will be attended to promptly and professionally. We’ll also make sure we comply with your home insurance policy. We have specialist drainers whose job it is to get the water flowing and draining again. The expert team at Sam's Local Plumbers are professionals who have been delivering the best plumbing services and have done many installations and repairs.

Are Sam's Local Plumbers OH&S accredited and do they clean up after?

All staff has completed accredited Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) training. We have completed documentation regarding OH&S Rehabilitation conforming to the requirements of Work Cover, Workplace Injury Management, and relevant Codes of Practice. This accreditation is in accordance with the Government OHS&R Management System's guidelines. All staff is clean and tidy. We use boot covers, and will always remove and dispose of all rubbish, leaving the area cleaner than when we started.

What causes clogged drains?

There are a number of common issues that create a need for drain cleaning. Soap all by itself is not a problem, but can be an issue with combined with hair. Another common problem is quilted toilet paper, which doesn't break apart as easily as non-quilted brands. Believe it or not, clumped cat litter can also become a major source of clogging if flushed down the toilet.

When do I need plumbing drain cleaning services?

Foreign objects lodged in your toilet or garbage disposal, completely blocked drains, and broken pipes are common reasons to bring in plumbing and drain cleaning professionals. If you experience these symptoms after a storm or natural disaster, call in a drain cleaning company right away; our professionals can diagnose serious issues, such as major damage to the main drain pipe or sewage system. Sometimes a video inspection system is the only way to see the damage.

My toilet keeps on running - what can I do to stop it?

Usually at the bottom right or left side of the toilet there will be an isolation tap. Turn it clockwise to isolate the water. If this fails to stop the water from running, turn the water off at the water meter (usually at the front of the property).
